REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT WITH Meredith

Meredith is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist specializing in providing treatment to adults with mood and anxiety disorders as well as those with trauma and stressor-related disorders. Meredith utilizes a trauma-informed and person-centered approach in her work, while also incorporating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Meredith received her BA from University of Wisconsin and a MA from Columbia College Chicago in Clinical Counseling and Dance/Movement Therapy. She has experience treating children, adolescents, and adults in inpatient, partial-hospitalization, and outpatient settings. Through her work across various settings and with diverse populations, Meredith has witnessed the powerful ways through which exploration and integration of the body/mind connection can support not only present-moment crisis intervention but long-term change within the healing journey as well. Meredith believes that to truly heal, we must address both the body and mind within the process of therapy and learn to attune to the inherent knowledge our bodies and minds hold. In addition to traditional verbal processing in sessions, she incorporates grounding and relaxation skills, self-regulation tools, breathwork, and mindfulness techniques to support individuals in increasing awareness, understanding, and personal meaning-making while facilitating positive mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social changes.

Meredith brings her open-mindedness, authenticity, curiosity, compassion, and acceptance to the therapeutic relationship and believes therapy should be a collaborative effort between the client and therapist. As treatment needs differ for each individual, Meredith is also willing to incorporate alternative treatments, such as psychedelic therapy or the Illinois Medical Card, into therapy, should clients be interested.
