Sarah Jones, LCSW
Sarah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in treating adults experiencing issues related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, family of origin issues, and relationship issues. She works from a psychodynamic approach using Client Centered, Strengths-Based, Bowen Family Systems, and Narrative approaches. She also utilizes Trauma-Focused CBT when treating clients who have experienced traumatic events.
Sarah received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Saint Mary’s College and her Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Children and Family Services from the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Jane Addams College of Social Work. She is also rostered in Child-Parent Psychotherapy, which is an evidence-based approach to working with children under age 5 and children with developmental disabilities who have experienced trauma. Prior to private practice, Sarah worked in school, child welfare, and community mental health settings treating children and adults of all ages in individual and family settings.
Sarah became a therapist because she enjoys helping and supporting others. She brings insight, humor, and warmth to create a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic space for clients to process and address their challenges. When she is not working, Sarah loves to spend time with her family, friends and her cats, Larry and Middy.
