Flu, RSV and COVID viruses are common during the fall and winter months. Vaccines offer your best defense and can be scheduled online. Or, simply walk into our urgent care during business hours to request your vaccine(s). Innovative Care will offer flu, RSV and COVID vaccines to patients during the 2023/2024 virus season. Insurance is accepted.

Which vaccine do I need?

Vaccines are developed to lower your risk of contracting an illness. They also lessen symptoms if you do get sick. Read on to learn who each vaccine is recommended for this season.

• Seasonal Flu – Everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine, with rare exceptions. Vaccination is particularly important for people who are at higher risk of serious complications from influenza. This includes those over the age of 65, children under the age of 2, people with certain chronic health conditions and those who are pregnant. More information is available on our blog.
• RSV – Respiratory syncytial virus, or RSV, is a common virus that typically causes mild, cold-like symptoms. Most people recover in a week or two, but RSV can be serious, particularly among infants and older adults. Visit the CDC for more information.
• 2023/2024 COVID Vaccine –  A new, updated COVID vaccine is available for the 2023/24 virus season and is recommended for everyone aged 6 months and older, regardless of previous vaccination. Additional doses of the updated vaccine may be recommended for people who are immunocompromised, or for children aged 6 months – 4 years, depending on the number of COVID-19 vaccine doses that individual has previously received. Please read the CDC guidelines carefully to understand the recommendation for your age and health situation. Per the CDC, the main reason to get vaccinated against COVID is to protect yourself against severe illness, hospitalization, and even death.
