Joy Guzzarde, LCPC
Elizejoy “Joy” Guzzarde is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor specializing in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, anxiety disorders, & minor depression.
Joy received her BA in Psychology from DePaul University, and a MA in Counseling, with a specialization in Sport & Health Psychology, from Adler University. She has experience treating adults in hospital and outpatient settings. Her main therapy modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure response prevention (ERP), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
Joy strives to help people better understand their emotions and become less judgmental of their thoughts, which lead them to make better behavioral changes to create long-lasting relief. Joy also likes to incorporate healthy lifestyle approaches to improve sleep, nutrition, exercise, relationships and occupational satisfaction.
