Celebrating 11 Years of Innovative Care

Eleven years ago, I opened the doors to our very first clinic, Innovative Express Care. At the time, it was both my first venture as an entrepreneur and a true leap of faith.

I had spent more than a decade at Northwestern Medicine working in emergency medicine, constantly thinking about how healthcare could work better for patients — how visits could be more efficient, more accessible, and more focused on the experience of the person sitting in the exam room.

Eventually, I decided it was time to stop studying those ideas and start building them.

From a Single Clinic to a Medical Group

When Innovative Express Care first opened in 2015, our patient list was…short. On the first day we saw just four patients — including an employee’s son, a family friend, my mom (thanks, Mom), and one person who actually walked in off the street.

Every organization starts somewhere.

What mattered from the beginning was our commitment to doing healthcare differently — offering quick, efficient, high-quality care without sacrificing the patient experience. That meant embracing things like online scheduling, transparent pricing, and telemedicine long before they became common.

Fast forward eleven years, and what started as a single urgent care clinic has grown into something much bigger.

Today, Innovative Care is a full medical group with 10 clinics across Chicago, offering services including:

• Therapy and mental health services
• Women’s health
• ADHD care
• MedSpa services
• Weight loss
• Depression care
• Longevity medicine and health optimization
• Perimenopause, menopause and men’s health

Along the way, we’ve grown from a team of four people to more than 150 employees, many of whom joined us from some of Chicago’s leading health systems including Northwestern, Rush, Illinois Masonic, Loyola, and the University of Chicago.

What hasn’t changed is the caliber of people who choose to work here. Our clinicians and staff are talented, compassionate, and deeply committed to improving how care is delivered.

And the feedback from our patients reflects that. Today, Innovative Care has earned thousands of Google reviews with an average rating of 4.5 stars, something we’re incredibly proud of.
